“You are only as old as your spine is flexible”.
Pilates is a movement-based method that encompasses some five hundred exercises. Some of the exercises are performed on pieces of equipment, originally designed by Joseph Pilates. Reportedly, he continued to invent new pieces of equipment according to the needs of his clients throughout his lifetime.
Central to his method, is the notion that a healthy spine is key to a healthy body and mind. Pilates stated that “You are only as old as your spine is flexible”.
